This 9 days (8 nights) tour takes you for a gorilla trek in Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. Go gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Uganda), Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda) and Virunga National Park in DR Congo. Go for hiking in Mt. Nyiragongo, one of the few active volcanoes in Africa.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport in Uganda – Dinner and overnight at Kampala Lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi National Park (Home of Mountain Gorillas in Uganda). Dinner and overnight at Nshongi Gorilla Resort.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Uganda – Cross to Rwanda – Transfer to Volcanoes national Park (Home of Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda). Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda – afternoon relaxation. Dinner and overnight at your previous Lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Gisenyi – Cross to Democratic Republic of Congo. Dinner and overnight at Ihusi Hotel.
Day 6: Transfer to Virunga National Park – Gorilla trekking – Transfer to Mountain Nyiragongo for dinner and overnight at the lower slopes of the mountain.
Day 7: Climb Mt. Nyiragongo – dinner and overnight in the tent – have night views at the top of Mt. Nyiragongo – see smoke and fire
Day 8: Slope down the mountain. Return to Goma city for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight at Ihusi.
Day 9: Transfer to Kigali Airport for your evening flight back home.
